Intergrating Technology in K12 Schools
I’m Emma!
Welcome to my website. I’m thrilled you are here. As an aspiring educational technologist, I have created this platform to showcase my assignments and projects related to integrating technology into K-12 education.
I have been an educator for more than two decades, serving as a Head Teacher in Scotland for nearly a decade. As I prepare to relocate to Arkansas, I am eager to enhance my proficiency in technology and deepen my knowledge of educational standards and frameworks. This motivation drives me to pursue my Masters’s degree at the University of Arkansas.
Feel free to explore my website, if you have any questions, please reach out. I hope you find my work informative and helpful.

Vision Statement
The vision of the U.S. Department of Education (ED) and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is that all young children will have adults in their lives who are well-informed on how to use technology to support learning at various ages. Additionally, all young children will have opportunities to learn, explore, play, and communicate through a multitude of approaches, including the use of technology
The focus of this vision is on integrating technology to enhance learning experiences and prepare students for a society that is technologically advanced. By acknowledging that technology has the potential to improve communication, enhanced thinking skills, and fostered the development of critical life skills. ISTE Standards for Students: A Practical Guide for Learning and Technology (2017)
U.S. Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona said in a press release; “The 2024 National Educational Technology Plan is a forward-thinking approach to reframing and realizing the potential of educational technology to enhance the instructional core, reduce achievement gaps, and improve student learning in our schools.”
